Definitive Technology SuperCube 2000 Subwoofer Demo

in this video i’m going to
show how to remove and replace a blown
amplifier from a pro
definitive technology pro sub 1000 which
i’ve had for quite a long time that
finally
the amp blew so i had to buy a new one
and i just got this today and i’m going
to show you how to replace it
the first thing you want to do is remove
the amplifier module itself
let’s do that
no
remove the last two screws
oh this is really hard away
and i’m going to try prying it out
so i had to kind of like use the pocket
knife to even
pry it out trying to like minimize the
damage to the wood but it’s kind of a
bummer
what actually worked was gravity itself
i just kind of tilted it on its side
and used the actual weight because this
thing weighs
it is not light this is a very high
quality amp
so here i got it out
here it is man that is heavy
hard to get a look in there but you can
see there’s connectors right there
on the speaker speakers in the front the
passive radiators on the bottom
i’m a little surprised that there’s no
phone uh
like deadening material but i already
pulled off the negative
uh i’m gonna go ahead and pull out the
positive wire
now for this volume knob here i guess
it’s more like the gain
which is on the side of the sub and it’s
connected to this
little white connector there right here
i’m just going to pull it out
there we go there’s the wires
disconnected
here comes the old one look at the size
of this
this transformer it is heavy
whatever they advertise the power is i
think it’s like 300
300 watts i believe it because this
thing this has got away like 15 pounds
this little thing it’s all on that that
it’s all on this transformer look at all
that copper
here’s a new unit
it’s all wrapped up i won’t bore you
with all that
so now you’re going to basically do
everything in reverse
you’re going to connect the wires back
on to the subwoofer
with the red wire being the positive
wire being on the left side
of the subwoofer as shown in this
picture and the black wire on the right
side which is the negative wire
and then you’re gonna place the
amp module back slide it back into the
body of the subwoofer and
start screwing all the screws back in
and
basically that’s it it’s just what what
what it took to
probably just a lot easier to do um you
just want to
might want to be a little careful uh
when you actually make
making the wire connections on the
subwoofer make sure you got them in good
and taut before you actually you know
screw everything back in you might
actually want to just screw a couple of
screws on and then
test out the amp and the subwoofer and
make sure everything’s working correctly
before you actually finish
screwing all the screws back in so
that’s just a quick little tip
i hope you enjoyed the video i know it
was kind of quick and random but
it was something that actually happened
and
i thought might be able to help somebody
out there
take it easy

Definitive Technology SuperCube 2000 Subwoofers

If you are looking for a car audio system that will impress your friends and family, the Definitive Technology SuperCube 2000 subwoofer is an excellent choice. The brand is known for its high-quality performance products. It’s no surprise then that this brand of high-performance subwoofers is used in top-secret video and film shoots as well as being used by rock stars performing live. You can’t help but admire the engineering skills that have gone into the making of each Super Cube of this kind. This is a high-end product that you’ll be proud to add to your own car audio system.

You’ve probably seen other high-performance car audio systems on the market that are more than just average. You might even think that you could pay twice as much for a better product. But it doesn’t have to be that hard. Just remember that when you shop for a good car sound system, you can save yourself money. A good high-pressure subwoofer is just as good as a factory installed one, and at a fraction of the cost.

If you love the big sound from your everyday stereo, but you’re tired of the size of your truck or SUV, you will appreciate the new Definitive Technology SuperCube 2020 high-performance subwoofer. This vehicle specific subwoofer comes in a surprising number of excellent styles. For example, you can get a flatbed subwoofer, or a trunk subwoofer. The flatbed is the traditional design, which has woofers mounted on a long thin rocker. The best ones usually have a lip on the outside of the woofer to direct more sound towards the listener.

Another version of the super cube 2021 high-performance subwoofer, also by Defiant, is the trunk subwoofer. This style mounts low and is very easily removed without disturbing those around you. With it’s low profile, it will not interfere with the suspension system in your truck or SUV. A rear-axle subwoofer is an option as well, but it is not as popular among consumers.

When it comes to sound quality, factory installed subwoofers outperform anything that you could purchase for a reasonable price. That’s why Definitive Technology has developed their own line of low-cost subwoofers, perfect for people who like to listen to music on the move. When it comes to bass thewoofers from Definitive Technology are superior to anything you could buy.

The Definitive Technology SuperCube 2000 Subwoofer has a reputation for being one of the best sounding subwoofers available. It will not break the bank when you purchase one. These subwoofers are made of heavy duty polyethylene and finished in anodized aluminum. When it comes to sound and performance, there is nothing better.

  1. Upgraded to newer, smaller subwoofers. I ended up purchasing two super cubes. I just needed more bass for music and an equal response from both sides of the venue. The old 350w 12″ jbl was destroyed by the one. You can feel it hitting your chest if you position it correctly in the room. The only thing I wish I had done was go for dual super cube 4000. After I had mine, I found them for the same price as the 2000. These will be purchased again for future builds.

  2. This little SuperCube replaced a starter-kit Yamaha 55W subwoofer.

I must have had the positioning completely incorrect at first. I heard a lot more complex bass, but the problem was that either 90% of the bass was too quiet and the noisy sections were at a decent level, or 90% of the bass was at a good level and the loud parts forced me to turn the machine volume down.

The next day, I took it out of the corner it was in, moved it closer to the TV (same wall, about 3-4 feet closer), and voila! It’s unbelievable! The precision and tightness when hitting notes I had no idea were being made before this was incredible. And the closer positioning out of the corner eliminated the sub’s boominess, and the volume level is now nicely normalized across the board.

This sub is matched with a Mythos SSA-42 5 channel bar, and I’m very pleased with the entire setup.

  3. When I played a movie or a song through my machine, I could hear the whole range of sounds/songs only from the subwoofer. As a result, the sound from this sub is interfering with the sound from my main speakers, mucking up the overall audio experience.

I have HTS 10 in the basement, and when I tried it, all I could hear were low thumping noises, not the entire album. As a result, I had to return this super cube 2000 and order a new HTS 10.
