Yamaha NS-SW050 Subwoofer Unboxing + Setup + Test

hello so I got a la Yamaha and s SW
zero-five-zero
subwoofer to accompany my Yamaha and a
polk audio setup surprisingly there is
zero unboxing available on youtube for
this one this is going to my existing
should have been like this but this is
broken which means I don’t know what it
means maybe I hope not that’s the
instruction manual
standard stuff so that’s how the Yamaha
subwoofer looks there’s no port this
side however there is a port the other
side and this is what they call the
flair port apparently it helps with the
bass will get you know so at the back
it’s a pretty standard stuff so let’s go
through it
does not mention the frequency response
the frequency response is from 28 to 150
or 200 welcome it’s not too big it’s not
too small so should be fine let me go
ahead and get this one set up sheared
and then I’ll come back Oh in the
meantime I have these Amazon basics a
subwoofer cable also which are ordered
separately apparently there’s no cable
that comes with it so let me set it up
and I’ll come back
I was just unboxing the subwoofer cable
from Amazon basics and I noticed how
soft this cable is I mean these are with
softer than the Bainbridge cable that I
used to plug in the speaker’s width so I
thought I’ll just uh record how soft
this cable this is I think one and a
half meters or two meters I purposefully
bought little extra I’m not gonna use
more than two feet so three feets so I’m
going to keep it tied up like this and
connect both the speakers connect the
AVR and the speaker so yeah I just wanna
let you guys know how soft this cable is
really impressed so just got the
installation done and downloaded our
youtube joy t3 music
the subwoofer this is I’m just playing a
tape deck from from there reducing my
phone over the Internet and right now
the things active right now our left and
right channel along with subwoofer and I
am pretty disappointed with the
subwoofer let me take it closer
the Commons is pretty disappointing let
me try and play another YouTube track
and we’ll get to know
I’m not sure how much of you can catch
it on the camera mic but the pace is
utterly bad I mean my car suffer it
gives me better bass than this one
I am definitely going to return this one
my six and half cent my six and half
inch sub for sub woofer which is
built-in into both s 55 gives me much
better base than the static it is adding
eight inch subwoofer from Yamaha utterly
disappointed I’m gonna go through some
settings again to see if I’m doing it
all right and if things are alright from
my end I’m definitely gonna return this
total piece of sorry for that
language suffered
alright so that was all about the test I
think the test is successful the results
are totally failure so like I mentioned
I’m gonna go through the some settings
again and if the settings are satisfying
to me I’m definitely returning this
subwoofer so thank you and let’s hope I
end up getting some better support for
thank you so this is the face of a
dissapointed Yamaha zero five zero user
I went through the settings again some
speakers I said a small servo fur is
said to use crossover setting is set at
80 80 Hertz so settings were all right
there wasn’t any difference in the
settings this is nothing that was wrong
and Cebu food is just plain bad well I’m
pretty disappointed some this one I
wasn’t really expecting a great pace
from summer entry-level shabu food but I
wasn’t expecting such a crappy piece
also you would have seen the the audio
that I played previously no I’m just
returning it
so I reset the request for returning is
going to be returned tomorrow we will
have to go ahead and get some nice
support for the challenge these are some
of the nicest to stop you first costs
August 4 times of 5 times of the prices
test
so we’ll see how it goes but the RSS is
going back so thank you for seeing that
boxing and stuff and let’s see when I
catch my shovel first thank you

  1. This Yamaha subwoofer was purchased to replace our Samsung woofer, which failed after two years, and it is three times the size of the subwoofer. It also has an adjustable frequency, so you can add some mid-range if required. When linked to our entertainment system, it’s fantastic for watching movies. Change it to internet radio or simply FM channels and rumble around the house with some songs. We have a 25-foot-by-35-foot living room, and it has no trouble rattling the entire space. Really, we just use 1/4 to 1/2 of it to fill the room with clean, undistorted bass. I also like the auto shut off function, which sends the sub into sleep mode if it doesn’t detect a bass signal from the receiver. When it detects a signal again, the bass kicks in smoothly. This sub is well worth the small premium over others I’ve read about or considered on the market.

  2. Today I received this Yamaha NS-SW050BL subwoofer. I connected it, calibrated the machine, and put it through its paces. This is an excellent little sub for my space (about 15×30 feet). I increased the volume to the THX reference standard, and it kept its own. It did not seem to be taxing on any of the drivers in my scheme. The other speakers are scheduled to roll off at 85Hz. They aren’t THX speakers, but I have the amp set up to handle them as such for the low-frequency rolloff. All is clear, precise, and warm. I’m pleased with my purchase!

  3. I searched for a higher to mid-range woofer that wouldn’t split the bank for quite some time. I had an option between JBL and Yamaha. I read through all of the reviews but couldn’t decide. The weight was what really did it for me. The Yamaha 10″ woofer weights 41 pounds more than the JBL 12″ woofer. It is difficult to find good heavy electronics these days because manufacturers are attempting to save money by using microprocessors instead of heavy amplifying equipment or inexpensive light materials. I trusted my instincts and chose the one that weighed the most. I made the correct choice. This woofer has a lot of bass and tone. I am overjoyed. One of the complaints was that the woofer failed after a year. When you want to use the woofer, I recommend turning it on and off. It has an auto on/off function that cuts off if no audio signal is detected. I believe that if there is a severe electrical storm, the surge could destroy the speaker. This is just my two cents worth of thoughts. However, this is a high-quality, well-made product.
