The rumors have been swirling for a while & the venue has changed a couple of times.
First it was the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, then it was the Boulder Theater, finally the rumors landed on 3 nights at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium.
There has not been an official announcement yet. Now there has, see below.
BUT- Our friends at Consider It Dan have just updated their website to show STS9 NYE travel packages!
The dates listed are December 29th, 30th & 31st and it looks like the shows will be of the Great Cycle Spectacles format. Though most fans were under the impression that the last GCS shows of the year would be at Mayan Holidaze (where STS9 plays at midnight on 12/21), it seems as though the band wants to bring it back to Denver for one last run- making that three STS9 stops this year in Colorado.
According to the CID website, a Fan Club pre-sale will start this Friday for their travel packages but our sources are saying that STS9 will not announce the gigs officially until next Monday with tickets going on sale Friday the 28th.
We have been working on a hatpin in anticipation of this announcement! PreOrder now while we finish the design!
In what we see as a last minute change of plans do to this article…
STS9 Officially Announces NYE Gigs
“STS9 presents the conclusion of 2012 with a three day celebration of “Time Within Evolving Living Vehicle Earth” to take place December 29, 30 & 31 at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado. Fan club tickets go on-sale this THIS FRIDAY September 21st at 10am MDT exclusively through STS9 Ticketing. After that, remaining public on-sale tickets go live Friday September 28th at 10am MDT via Ticketmaster. We can’t wait to come full cycle with y’all right where we started 2012.”

This announcement does come as a headache to some fans as they will have a tough choice for New Years in Denver because The String Cheese Incident is also set to announce NYE plans in the area.
As always, we were the first publication to drop these details- but to be sure to have all the correct info, please visit the band’s website.
