UPDATE: Just spoke with our source at Madison House and can confirm that this story is bonkers. Information is wrong and the poster is not connected to the event. Take it with a grain of salt.
Original Post: Sometimes the Internet is a place filled with unexpected and head scratching moments, today was one of those days.
A message popped up on a Rothbury Messageboard today with an anonymous post from someone calling themselves “parachuteguy” who, allegedly, is close to (or is?) a festival source.
Read the message below then scroll down to see the list of possible artists that we could see at EFF.
Note: For those of you wondering, Rothbury was the original name of the Electric Forest Festival.
I’ve used this site as a viewer for a number of years to stay connected with the spirit of the forest. It’s been rather quiet this year, so I decided it was a good time for my first… and last post ever. The future is bright my friends! For being so loyal throughout the years, I’m going to reward you infoburies with a sneak peak into which artists are currently in booking discussions with EFF. I know you will want confirmation, but I can’t disclose the source of this leak, as the magicians at mad house are keeping things tight under wraps this year. It’s going to be a very big year in Rothbury, that is for sure! If an artist is on this list that means they’ve been contacted by the festival. Only SCI, Mad House, and PL Music artists are official. (BONUS GOODIE*** The SCI boys are unsure how long they want to stay involved, and this may be their last year in the forest. They’ve discussed passing the baton along to the folks in Boulder over at PL Music, and have some pretty interesting collaborative ideas for this year! (BONUS BONUS GOODIE***** The plan was always for Loren to take over the fest, but after the fiasco his bassheads caused last year the SCI boys nixed that idea, and want to keep this sacred fest safe in Colorado hands)
