After last week’s concerning on-stage stumble, the Furthur Tour fan site says that Bob Weir has been admitted to a care facility to get much needed rest and treatment.

Today the band officially posted an update on their Facebook page which lists a canceled show at the May 10th BottleRock Festival in Napa, California.

As of now, no other shows have been called off.

[quote]Due to unforeseen circumstances, Furthur regretfully will be unable to appear as scheduled at BottleRock Napa Valley on Thursday, May 9. Grateful Dead & Furthur Co-Founder Bob Weir is unable to perform in any capacity for the next several weeks.

Furthur featuring Phil Lesh & Bob Weir look forward to returning to the road as scheduled on July 11 in Brooklyn for their Summer tour, which carries them through early October on the West Coast[/quote]

It seems as though that Weir’s weekly “Weir Here” broadcast from TRI Studios will also be on hiatus indefinitely.

No official word has been released on what caused the 65 year old guitarist to collapse though rumors are abound pointing the finger at exhaustion, medication mixups and more.
