This post isn’t full of the standard fun that we normally share here but it is part of our scene and news like this needs to get attention.

Reports coming out of Philadelphia, PA are pointing to a commotion at the Electric Factory during last night’s scheduled Zeds Dead gig.

The all ages show was shut down after paramedics received multiple calls to the club with reports of up to 9 people suffering from drug overdoses.

A local dispatcher for the area fire department said that four people were taken from the venue due to overdoses but did not make mention of their ages. They were transported to various hospitals in the area, including the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Hahnemann University Hospital, but all were last reported to be in stable condition.

Zeds Dead hopped on Twitter and ushered fans down the street to the new Lit UltraBar where they put on a performance for an energized 18+ crowd.

The verdict is still out on wether or not the over-doses were all related. With the heavy use of unchecked research chemicals in the club scene these days, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that the victims where all using the same substance.

Philly were just as upset as you that the show was shut down. Its out of our hands but hold tight. We’re trying to work out a show for 2nite
