Cannabis enthusiast in the state of Colorado are putting on their party hats yet again this year with the First Annual 710 Cup set to take place this coming weekend.

No longer is 4/20 the one day a year that the Mile High City lets loose for marijuana culture events, we now welcome 7/10 into the fold.

710 is a nickname for hash-oil, a highly concentrated form of cannabis, as the word “OIL” looks like “710? when flipped upside down.

Now this isn’t the kind of hash your uncle was smoking back on Grateful Dead tour, the new varieties of hash are so potent that they can knock seasoned pros out of the game for a while.

Unlike most other industry events the judges panel at  The 710 Cup will number nearly 200 and each judge will have the opportunity to evaluate nearly 70 unique hash entries.

Beyond the judging of locally produced hash-oil, The 710 Cup will also feature a full multi-day lineup of live music and panel discussions. See the schedule of events below.

With the legalization of marijuana in Colorado in the past year, this will be the first ever United States Cup that is completely open to the public.

Grassroots California and Hitman Glass have partnered together to bring participants of the cup a uniquely educational and fun experience. Tickets are available at

In  addition to the hash-oil competition and mini music festival, The 710 Cup will also feature a collaborative art mural project by 3 Colorado based artists, P.L.A.A.N.T84pages & BERK.

Note: In accordance with Colorado law, you must be 21 or older to consume cannabis.
