Jones and although I can introduce
myself as your boy yet the hope is that
eventually the Canadian consumer Channel
will be your first stop for when you’re
looking for any new tech reviews and
unboxings so we know the holidays are
just around the corner Black Friday is
coming up very soon and a lot of people
are interested in this new trend of
totally wireless earbuds now that being
said the Apple earpods Pro have just
come out and we know that the air pods
second general so as well however not
everybody is willing to drop that much
money on testing out a new technology
but they’ve not yet messed with there’s
lots of other options out there more
affordable options out there for people
like you and myself who are curious
about taking the plunge into truly
wireless headphones but not willing to
take a plunge that deep in case it
doesn’t work out in our favor so today
I’m here to discuss with you the sound
Pete’s true free wireless earbuds a very
budget option for those of us still kind
of on the fence but looking to get a
taste of what truly wireless earbuds
have to offer now these you can get on
Amazon currently for about 42 bucks
Canadian and I have to say after testing
these out for a couple of months these
are my new go twos so first things first
as we said these air buds are truly
wireless for anybody that’s used to the
air pot design you’ll notice that these
are a little bit different in that the
case doesn’t actually have a cover on it
that being said these will never fall
out from any active or vigorous
movements because they have very very
strong magnets on the inside of the case
similar to the air pods this case also
doubles as a charger for your earbuds so
that when you’re done with them and
throw them back into the case they start
charging actively now off of a single
listening period you should be able to
get up to three hours of listening time
on a single bud before having to put it
back in the case the total amount of
time that you’ll get from these off of
one full charge of both the air buds and
the case is roughly 15 hours that’s more
than enough time to get you from point 8
point be walking the dog taking a long
road trip or even a coast-to-coast
flight so as we said these function off
of a very powerful magnet if we pop
these bad boys out and just toss them
back into the case half as early doesn’t
really take much effort excuse me or
precision as the magnet just pulls them
back down to charge the case we’ve got a
USB charger port just at the back in
this case we’ll take roughly an hours to
charge not very long for someone that’s
constantly on the go unfortunately
these do not have any wireless charging
capabilities so if you got a Samsung
Galaxy Note and you’d like to use that
Qi charger or maybe you have a wireless
charger at home unfortunately this is
currently the only option if you’re
looking for something a little bit more
premium than these but still
significantly cheaper than the air pods
then sound peak does also make different
options and those options are all
available on Amazon so for example the
next option up from this just has a
cover on top of the case for those of
you who like that look a little bit more
maybe you want to toss them in your
pocket and not worry about any dust or
debris getting into the sockets here but
at the end of the day they’re probably
the end of getting that same level of
sound quality which in my opinion is
pretty great now one thing that I really
enjoy about these earbuds is that they
don’t have that weird air pod look with
the white stem at the end I find these
to be pretty aesthetically pleasing you
pop them in the ear and they don’t look
too terrible I know I’m trying to look
at myself right now just to make sure
but I don’t think they look too terrible
they kind of blend in and they do a
really good job at staying in your ears
during movements now I’m somebody that
tends to wear these to the gym versus my
over the ear headphones these days
because I just find this to be a lot
lighter of an option it’s easy to
quickly throw on jump into the gym do
what I need to do doesn’t matter what
position I’m in whether I’m doing a
bench press a squat or a warm-up run
these tend to stay in very very well now
that being said as usual with these type
of ear
these type of in-ear headphones or
in-ear earbuds rather
they do come with three different sizes
of silicone tips so that you can get the
right fit because of how well they are
able to seal your ear canal the base on
these although not the greatest is still
pretty good as well as the sound quality
now in terms of call quality these do
have microphones in them as you can tell
by the price there’s no active
noise-cancelling or anything like that
there but as we said they do have the
microphone and that’s one area where
these tend to struggle versus the air
pods is call quality now obviously when
this is in my ear with the microphone
being so far from my mouth it’s gonna be
very difficult for this to pick up any
sounds if you’re somewhere that has lots
of ambient noise going around for
example I was just downtown Toronto not
too long ago and received a call did my
best to talk to my wife on the other on
the other side of the call and she
pretty much couldn’t hear anything that
I was saying because there was
construction going on over there there’s
people all bustling walking by me
there’s buses going by so she couldn’t
hear anything I could hear her perfectly
but the sound just wasn’t coming through
so if you’re someone that’s looking for
some in-ear truly wireless earbuds and
you know that you’re gonna be using them
for the majority to make phone calls and
things like that then these probably
aren’t for you now in terms of
controlling your music while using these
these do have very nice tactile buttons
here on each of the ear buds as you can
see so you’re able to wear these either
as a single or wear them stereo either
way you get the same button
functionality so one press on this will
pause the track two presses will move
the track forward three presses will
move the track backwards currently
there’s no app or anything like that to
make any changes to that if that’s not
how you prefer to control your music but
as we said for a price point that low
you’re still getting some pretty great
quality so all in all at the end of the
day how do these stack up to more
expensive options such as your power
beats Pro your air pod generation twos
or your air pods Pro I got to say that
while lots of those premium devices have
much more
functionality this is definitely
something that didn’t get you a lot of
bang for your buck as I said I’ve had
these for a couple months now and I’ve
had no issues in terms of charging or
losing battery the same amount of
battery that I got out of the box is
what I’m getting still today a lot of
times I can go without charging these
guys for a pretty long time I’m
something that mostly listens to music
like I said at the gym or while walking
the dog and these seem to hold up very
very well I throw these in my bag I saw
these in my pocket as we said there’s no
cover on it but just looking at it I
know it’s kind of hard to see there’s
not really that much dust in there and
because of how the ear tips are actually
facing down into the container you don’t
really get any of that dust or debris up
into the device itself so overall I
would say that these are an amazing bang
for your buck if you’re somebody that’s
trying to get into the market and
testing out how you feel about the
wireless about the truly wireless earbud
trend again this is something that’s
pretty entry-level just to try to get
you into that market see if you like it
I mean of course after a while you might
decide to move up to those more premiums
those more expensive name-brand
options but for me personally after
trying this out with just this guy here
that was enough for me I didn’t feel
like I needed to upgrade to air pods at
all really I mean I would like to get
some power beats Pro just because I like
that over the ear mechanism that they
use to keep the pods in place and I hear
that those have some really good nice
bass on them but all in all I gotta say
that this was money well-spent
so again here’s somebody I was looking
for a new option or maybe someone that
saw he’s on Amazon it wasn’t too sure
how you felt about them based on the
reviews
hopefully my video helped you out in
making that decision like I said these
are probably they go down in price come
with Black Friday coming up and the
holidays coming up as well
makes a great stocking stuffer for
someone that’s looking for some some
headphones or some kind of new audio
device for the holidays and all in all
just a great purchase so again thank you
