Couch Guitar Straps Demo Video
hey guys welcome back to the channel
today I want to talk about the guitar
straps that I’ve been using almost
exclusively for probably bout the last
year so their couch guitar straps and
they’re a company that’s in Signal Hill
California and they’re you know it’s
it’s they don’t use real leather it’s
like you know it’s all man-made you know
materials so they’re it’s like you know
it’s not animal cruel or anything you
know whatever you want to call that but
um I I don’t even remember exactly how I
discovered them but I ordered one that’s
probably been a couple years ago now and
I got it real quick and I really really
liked the quality and the way it was
made you know the way it felt so I
started you know quiring and you know
more and more and pretty much now I
would say probably 80% of my guitars
have a couch you know guitar strap on
them now and the remaining ones that
don’t have one will you know we’ll
probably get one this year so but anyway
I want to shout out to Matt you guys
recently you know I recently got this
red metallic tele and I was looking for
guitars to have to do with it and they
used to have I remember seeing they had
this like you know red material that was
just like this and I reached but I
didn’t see it on a website and I reached
out to them and Matt said you know we
don’t have anymore that material sorry
you know basically but then a few days
after that I got another email from Matt
he said hey I found enough of the
material to do you know one of the
little lightning bolts traps you know if
you want one so I said yeah definitely
so as you can see I got a rib metallic
lightning bolt guitar strap here to
match match my tally so Matt I want to
thank you for that buddy but like I said
they’re just a really really well-made
strap they’ve got a lot of cool you know
colors and textures I think the majority
of the material that they source
my believe comes from like the
automotive industry used like in old
seats and things like you know old
Cadillacs II told Mercedes seats one of
the straps I think is the trunk lining
from the old Mustangs which is kind of
cool but I’m slowly like I said slowly
been acquiring these for all my guitars
my my gold Majesty there it’s got a
killer couch Racer X with a matching
gold stripe on there love that my
Shelton there’s got a good one there’s
another lightning bolt in there on the
on the fan out but anyway the one thing
I really like about them is the inside
of the strap is the same you know as the
outside so it’s real smooth you know it
doesn’t you know grab your clothing I
know some guys like the straps that have
a you know rough texture on the back I
know if you have a neck heavy guitar a
lot of guys like that because it it’ll
actually grab your shirt and won’t you
know allow the you know neck the dive I
don’t like when it grabs a shirt I like
it real smooth and you know all their
straps are like that like I said really
really well-made the ends are you know
reinforced just super quality and all
the hardware you know metal here on the
buckle you know metal rivets and stuff
like that just really really well-made
you know guitar straps they also make
camera straps and some other odds and
ends you know wallets and things like
that but I don’t have any other camera
straps yet although I may add some of
those in the future to go with my
cameras but like I said you know I I
have a pretty good collection of couch
guitar straps that go with my guitars
and they’re just super company to work
with and they make really good quality
straps and the prices are very
reasonable very reason why I think so
but just wanted to bring those to your
attention guys in case you didn’t
already know about caps guitars grams
and I want to thank you for watching
we’ll see you next time

Couch Guitar Straps Buyer’s Guide
A leather guitar strap is usually a thick, long piece of leather designed to fasten to each of the guitar’s ends so the musician can then securely put the strap around their shoulder to keep the guitar securely in place. Most guitar straps will connect on the bottom of the guitar near the headstock and close to the sound hole, at the top of the instrument. There are other types of guitar straps available, such as the interlocking guitar straps that connect two ends of a strap by means of metal hinges. Guitar straps can be made from different kinds of leather, with grain patterns and shades of color.
The proper care for leather guitar straps is essential to keep the equipment in tip top shape. Regular care regimen must be followed to make sure that the leather strap remains attractive and comfortable. A leather strap that has been properly maintained should not sag or become damaged. If it becomes damaged it should be replaced and the cost of the replacement should reflect its value. In addition, if the leather becomes overly dull or damaged it may be time to invest in another piece.
Many professional musicians choose leather guitar straps with extra padding so that they can avoid the discomfort of normal puffy straps. Some of these extras include extra padding in the shoulder and elbow areas as well as padding around the entire body. Neoprene padding is used in some straps because it adds an extra level of comfort and protection against burns and cuts. The choice is up to the individual guitarist but at least every guitarist should have at least one piece of neoprene padding in their gear bag.
Guitar straps, when first thought of, are probably the things that immediately come to mind for any guitar player. When looking around for guitar straps a few key things need to be kept in mind; classic guitar straps need to provide comfort and help prevent any unnecessary neck strain. A great strap should have good quality leather, which will protect your guitar from tearing at the same time providing the comfort you need to play properly. Another factor is the ease of use by an individual; you want your guitar straps to be adjustable so as to allow for you individual height and hand positioning so that you get the best comfort from them. Having a classic guitar strap that does not fit can cause discomfort while strumming therefore it is important to ensure it is made of high quality leather. Most straps have eyelets for plucking the strings, adjusting the height as well as many other features that ensure your playing remains comfortable.
Classic guitar straps provide you with the comfort you need and the support that you require whilst playing. You will notice after some time that playing really does get easier, there is a flow in your fingers and the chords just seem to flow easier. The more comfortable your strap is the more you are able to concentrate on what you are playing. One thing to note though is that if you are looking for comfort then you may well need to make a few changes to the strap you are using as some will have more adjustability than others.
Bass guitar straps are designed to help guitarist get the most enjoyment from their instrument and to prevent them from getting injured when they are playing their instrument. The best bass guitar straps also allow guitarists to carry unusually heavy bass guitars for long stretches of time with little discomfort or inconvenience. These straps will last for several years to come and keep you motivated to learn new music instead of constantly struggling to keep your guitar in a comfortable position. Guitar straps, made with a heavy gauge nylon, leather, or synthetic leather will last for several years if properly cared for.
The most common type of bass guitar straps are the type that attaches to the shoulder. These straps are most commonly made with Velcro straps and will either include padding to make the strap comfortable or to prevent it from moving around on the shoulder. Padding will provide additional comfort and added protection in the event that the strap does become worn or torn. Locking straps, on the other hand, will keep the strap securely in place without having to deal with moving straps and potentially damaging the guitar.
The main difference between traditional leather straps and adjustable straps is the amount of stretchability the material provides. With traditional leather straps, the leather ends are typically cut at a point above the waist to accommodate additional stretchability. With adjustable bass guitar straps, the leather is cut at a more uniform point, which allows it to stretch much like a regular pair of jeans. This gives the strap great comfort as well as added flexibility. If you plan on changing the style of your bass guitar strings every few years, you can easily adjust the leather ends so that they will not become stretched out and looser.
Acoustic guitar straps are used on acoustic and electric guitars alike. They usually strap the guitar to a stand or guitar case to hold it in place while the player is performing. There are different styles of acoustic guitar straps and they all serve a purpose. Some straps have a tension mechanism that locks the guitar into place while it is being played. Other styles have detachable straps that allow the guitar to be carried around easily. One style allows you to change the tension from one chord to another if you need to.
The way the acoustic guitar straps attach to the guitar is very different than the way they attach to electric guitars. For acoustic guitars there is only one strap button and that is where you put the strap on. That is also how you lower the action of the guitar. The tension on the strings is still primarily through the one strap button and this is how all of the weight of the instrument is exerted on the string/s. The same is true of the electric guitar but there are a fretted model as well as a string/fretboard model.
Guitar straps are used to hold down the guitar strings from getting out of position. They also give the player a more secure feeling when he is holding his instrument in his hands. If you buy a good quality strap, then it will last for years. You will have to make sure you get the right size of strap, since they come in different sizes. In addition to guitar, they also serve well for various other instruments.
A guitar strap is capable for both acoustic and electric guitars, even the bass guitars. Though the technique of attachment is not the same, there are still some basic characteristics of the acoustic guitar straps that will make it more suitable for one or another. First of all, acoustic guitars tend to be heavier than the electric ones. This makes it more difficult for the strap to put the guitar into position while the user is strumming. This is one reason why people prefer bass over guitars when they are planning on playing live with others.
In contrast to that, the electric guitar straps are lighter and usually clip on more easily. That is why they are popular for use with basses, which is less straining on the guitar strap’s arms. Moreover, electric guitar straps are more convenient and easier to use than the acoustic ones, especially since there is less hassle with it. Bass players often use their instrument as the main source of sound, so this feature is very important for them. When you are buying an electric guitar, make sure that you get the type of strap that will suit your needs. The right choice will make sure that you have a comfortable time playing.
